As we ramp up for activities and events this year, we need youth participation on our Junior Branch board. The JB board organizes service projects and plans JB activities that bring what they learned at CISV international programs to Pittsburgh.
Our current Local Junior Representative, essentially the president of the board, is Nate Chinman. Below are the openings on the board. Please email pittsburgh@cisvusa.org if you’re interested in these leadership opportunities.
JLJR (Junior Local Junior Representative)
The JLJR must be at least 14 years old. The JLJR works with the LJR and JB Board in executing administrative duties, and is responsible for planning a spring event. The JLJR or Co-JRLJRs also serve(s) as the LJR in-training and will therefore automatically become LJR after serving a one-year term as JLJR. The JLJR attends a Chapter Development weekend in the spring. It is important for all Executive Board members to attend as many events throughout the year as possible!
Secretary
The Secretary must be at least 14 years old . The Secretary serves a one-year term, and is responsible for note-taking at meetings, organizing the Google Folder, and planning the annual JB Car Wash with the Treasurer. The Secretary should e-mail all notes and/or share online to the JB Board after every event and meeting. It is important for all Executive Board members to attend as many events throughout the year as possible!
Treasurer
The Treasurer should be at least 13 years old. The Treasurer serves a one-year term, and is responsible for keeping track of JB funds and informing the JB of these amounts. The Treasurer will plan the annual JB Carwash with the Secretary. It is important for all Executive Board members to attend as many events throughout the year as possible!
JB Historian
The Historian should be at least 13 years old. The JB Historian serves a one-year term, and is responsible for documenting the year through various media (i.e. photos, videos through Instagram and any other mediums). It is important for all Executive Board members to attend as many events throughout the year as possible!
National Service Project Leader
The NSPL should be at least 13 years old. The NSPL arranges at least one event that involves the CISV community in the National Service Project Activity. The NSPL plans, publicizes, and runs the service activity. The NSPL works closely with the National Service Project Committee, and consults with LJR, and presents to the Board. It is important for all Executive Board members to attend as many events throughout the year as possible!
