In alliance with the founding principles of CISV—to educate and inspire action for a more just and peaceful world—CISV Pittsburgh stands with those working to end racial and socioeconomic injustices affecting people of color and affirms that Black lives matter.
We envision a world, a country, and a community where all people live free from injustice and fear, in a place where they are provided the same protections and opportunities as their fellow citizens.
Our chapter will continue to strive to put the values of CISV—diversity, human rights, conflict resolution and sustainability—into action locally. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be working with our members and Junior Branch to identify what we can do together to create a more just and peaceful Pittsburgh.
May George Floyd be the last name added to a long list of African Americans who have died tragically because of the color of their skin.
