Step Up 14 is a three-week international program for youth from nine countries. Each country sends four youth and an adult leader. Step Up encourages young people to take a leading role in planning and organizing activities. The participants and their adult leaders use CISV’s peace education to guide the theme of the camp. This life-changing program builds cross-cultural friendship while teaching empathy and leadership skills.
Step Up staff consists of a director and three additional staff members. Staff have the following responsibilities:
- A total of four staff members, led by a camp director help lead and inspire peace education activities for program participants. The group will take a "learning by doing" approach to dive deeply into this year's CISV theme of conflict and resolution.
- Staff members will share food and lodging with camp delegates and leaders while managing the logistics of the camp environment. This includes helping coordinate excursions, facilitate program planning and evaluation processes, and managing money, first aid, and incident reports.
- Staff members will also be responsible for maintaining the safety and well-being of the camp delegates and identifying if a delegate or leader may need medical care.
- Staff members will also manage forms including medical forms and dispense medicine according to doctors' instructions when necessary.
We offer staff training and support, a fun, supportive, intercultural environment, and the opportunity to enhance your CV and develop your personal and leadership skills. Staff must attend national staff training and local training. Dates TBD.
