At 16 or 17 years of age, Junior Counselors are able to relate to both children and adults and to act as a link between them during a CISV Village, a 4-week program for 11 year-olds. JCs participate in leaders’ meetings and lead activities, just like any delegation leader would participate.
JC must be 16 at the start of the Village on July 5, 2019.
Deadline to apply is December 15, 2018.
JC cost does not include travel.
A mandatory part of the selection process is to attend the Selection Overnight where applicants will be interviewed on the weekend of January 5-6, 2019 at Camp Kon-O-Kwee. In addition to the interview, JC applicants are required to lead an activity at the Overnight as part of the selection process.
JCs must attend both Local Leader Training day in February and National Leader Training weekend in the spring.
